hiya. Thought it was about time for a change
the names lauren, frequently "laur", seldom "ren".
occasionally boalerz/boalarama/laurdawg...but most of the time the nickname is lorbol.

One simple rule I like is the K.I.S.S. rule. (keep it simple stupid), keeping things simple for yourself saves embarassment when you attempt something flashy and OTT and end up crashing and burning.right? This would be the reasoning behind my profile seeming so bare.

I am a Christian. Haven't been this way for very long, but recently I have seen the light and I have since been asking myself why i was stubborn for so long and didn't ask Christ into my life sooner.

I speak my mind, I don't pussy foot around the truth and I make my opinions known. I am not a bitch for no reason, I'm just blunt and see no point in sugar-coating.

I dont pretend to be something I'm not. I, like most people am complex. I have strong opinions, but my feet are on the ground and my head is definately not in the clouds(though I am not always focused).

I am realistic about life and about goals. I don't see the work through rose-tinted glasses and "Naive" is not a word that would be used to describe me.

These past few years I have realised priorities in life, I have grown up and learnt from more mistakes than I should have allowed to happen.

I am an approachable, friendly person so if you want to know anything else, just leave me a comment, I reply to them all and I like talking to new people.

when people with "fuller figures" think hey can wear anything and get away with it. im not a fat hater...not in the slightest, but its abit off putting seeing women in clothes 2sizes too small or PVC corsets with bits hanging out all over the show. not a good look.

people who act all "emo". leave the wooden spoons in the kitchen please guys. KTHNX

old men on profiles who comment young girls looking for more than a friendly chat.
the whole "hey sexy want to chat? add me to msn, i wouldnt mind getting to know you a bit better if you get my drift, my msn is sexy_alfred_1954@oldmen4younggirls.com" etcetc. turns me. *shudders*

men who are sexist.
women went through years of oppression and still get "jokes" like "get back in the kitchen and make me some pie". there is still confusion as to what women should be doing with their lives, still more difficult for women to be as/more successful as men. after the years of sexism women have had to face, i feel that these days we should be the ones making the sexist remarks, call me a hypocrite, but IMO its our right =] . . . . . . i guess that makes me a tad on the feminist side.

then comes the usual cliches. . . . .

homphobia.

racism.

sectarianism etc etc. you get the drift.

Favorite Music:

i do infact listen to a very wide range of music! give me abit of cheese and i'll dance the night away. i am one of the few who can truthfully say i love all music, though i do, have my weaknesses.

JEFF BUCKLEY IS MY SAVIOR♥ i LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE everything i've heard by him, which is a good lot. he is a true legend.

LUDOVICO EINAUDI.... what can i say? he too is a musical genius along side mister buckley. he writes the most amazing, deep and emotive music for piano. it has this enchanting quality, alluring maybe...it just, sucks me in. i could sit and play it for hours...infact, i have been known to do this on many occasions =]

so much more, too much to name.*sigh* maybe i'll get back to adding the rest at a later date.
