Vonesper: Confession/Electric Blue (Live 03/26/11)
Vonesper is a female-fronted aggressive pop band based in New York, NY. Founding member Kevin Vonesper started the band's first live line-up in 2006 which only performed several times. If your favorite female pop-star was backed by a high energy rock band with punk rock roots, a violin player and a look that could be described as a darker, sexier Duran Duran, you may be close to picturing the rock 'n' roll juggernaut that is Vonesper.
Vonesper has existed by name as a musical output of songwriter and visionary Kevin Vonesper for close to 10 years. Kevin has previously had a limited degree of success in former bands including Grammy-nominated Green Jelly and Putty Root (with Valerie Gentile of Anglespit, Black Tape For A Blue Girl).
The current line-up of Kevin (bass), Kris (guitar), Olivia (violin) and Meg (vocals) have been quietly developing and recording their debut full length of all new material. The album has a tentative release date of April 2011.
