Hmmm...the basics...I'm a 25-year-old Geordie living in London. Pisces, likes action films, hates seafood. Loves art, design and film, hates most sport and reality TV. Pretty much stuck in the 1980s. I'm a proper grown-up so I work in an office - I'm an account manager but I'm doing a distance learning course in graphic design outside of work. I don't believe that "music is my life" as I sustain my life through a cunning combination of oxygen, water and protein... Besides, as much as I love music, I've always preferred books. I'm a writer myself, and so far I have work up on Bending Spoons and Fictionville.

My real name is NOT Icy but I'm skeptical about the wisdom of using a real name online. Besides, I don't mind my real name but it's nice to have a touch of self-invention on the side. I do have certain beliefs and opinions but I'm not going to whore them about on here because I really can't be bothered.

Am I a Goth? Um, last time I checked I wasn't a member of a Germanic barbarian tribe, and since I don't ransack the Roman Empire on my weekends off, I'm saying I'm not. *removes tongue from cheek* Most of the time I don't look like my photos since I recognise that there's a time and a place for expressing individuality. Besides, a corset and hair falls wouldn't be too practical for work. But as a lot of people shout about how they're different despite looking like everyone else, so I won't be surprised if you don't believe me when I say I'm not a Goth/cyber/raver/glammy/emo/punk/fairy/Mongolian foot soldier, or whatever other label you can think of. I'm fairly whimsical and I dress according to mood. I don't particularly want to fit in with anyone, and nor do I want people to feel like they have to fit in with me. After all, it's not like we're the Borg, is it?

I'm not especially bouncy or excitable, in fact I'm actually rather grumpy, but if I find you interesting then I'll happily talk to you for hours. I'm surprisingly shy on first meetings, but get past that and I'm opinionated as all hell. I'm also just this side of 'geek', with the attention span of a toddler. I also don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, and I will personally make your life a living hell if you insist on asking me why - I don't ask why you DO them, so why ask me why I DON'T?

I'm not from London, I'm actually from Newcastle, but for reasons now lost to the vagaries of time, I moved 400 miles from all I knew and loved, and now I reside in west London. I've also collected a rather spiffy bunch of friends but if they've got any sense, then they'll know who they are! And before you think an ill-thought-out or unoriginal picture compliment may win you favour, I'm very happily engaged to the most perfect man I could have hoped to meet.

Before I finally relinquish my grasp on your attention, can you do me a favour? Can you NOT add me to your friends or favourites list if you've never actually spoken to me? That's just weird.
