Profile:
~ "Imagine a mix between NIN, the Chemical Brothers, Atari Teenage Riot, the Aphex Twin & Negativland..." Canberra Times Newspaper, Australia.
~ "Original... punk ethic... tech-industrial... influences from acid to drum and bass, atmospheric & spooky to in your face." DRUM music magazine, Sydney.
~ "Chilling yet hilarious... intense... full-on techno... industrial sounds, samples and chants to make non-mainstream political statements... trance-inducing... intelligent and outspoken.." DB music newspaper, Adelaide, Australia.

If you like topical, controversial and humorous, some of EYE's most famous tracks that have become mainstays on radio across Australia include: "(EYE wanna be a) CIA Hypno-Programmed Robot Assassin", "Taliban: Made by the USA", "Slogans for Consumer Youth", "Psychological Warfare", "Refugees: Detention Without Trial", "Mandate!" (featuring cameo vocals from the prime minister), "Are YOU a Terrorist?" and "Terrorism... is the friend of the State" amongst many other tracks that are just about music for music's sake.

If you like the noises playing above, which reflect the technoey-industrial-e.b.m.-dance angle, just some of EYE's diversity, you can download numerous MP3s for free :-), woo-hoo, from http://www.mp3.com.au/eye/

EYE's humorous d.i.y. sonic propaganda ("post-industrial information age music") has been released on over 70 compilation CDs (adding up to over 70,000 individual CDs), numerous self-released albums, videos broadcast on national TV (ABC-tv "Rage" and SBS-tv "alchemy"), plus regular radio airplay and several dozen radio interviews, particularly across Australia (being a favourite on community radio stations nation-wide in our most active years of 1998 to 2003). Some EYE music has been released under the aliases E.L.F., DJ Citizen and QT; these side-projects have been laid to rest and re-assimilated into EYE.

Just when EYE broke onto mainstream radio, the Australian government's nationwide JJJ station selecting "A Nice Walk in the Park" for daily rotation in mid-2003, EYE decided to have a rest; closing their record label called "Blatant Propaganda" and all other activity.
Getting recognition and being heard far and wide is great. It certainly is a buzz to know your music is regularly being played on breakfast and drive-time shows around the country. Of course, that wasn't our "industrial" stuff though. However, being poor sleep-deprived struggling artists just isn't very much fun for very long. Alas, not having to worry about such things anymore, EYE plan to release more music in 2008, maybe (!), and perhaps make their/our old CDs available once again.... It's just that there's so many other fun things to do compared to running a record label or being beholden as a corporate slave to another record label!
