CHIASM
I am a dark electro female solo project from Detroit, MI. I am Emileigh Rohn, who alone writes, programs, mixes, produces, and performs the audio onslaught I call Chiasm. I am both a scientist and musician doing my best to explore and express my findings in this world.
The first demo album, "Embryonic", was self-released in 1998, and Chiasm was signed to COP International records in 1999. The debut album on COP titled "Disorder" was released in 2001, and its track, "Isolated", has been featured on Paramount/CBS's television show "Navy:NCIS" as well as the PC game, "Vampire:The Masquerade -Bloodlines". In 2003, COP released her remix collaborative album, "Divided We Fall", in which Chiasm and labelmate TL5 each reinterpreted 5 of each other's tracks for a full-length album. Chiasm's next full-length album, "Relapse", was released on COP International in June 2005, and the virtual EP "Prefrontal", in 2006. Her third full-length album, "REFORM", was released in 2008, and CDs are available at www.copint.com. The iTunes EP, "Apple Island", was released in 2009 featuring her cover of Peter Schilling's "Major Tom". Chiasm is now completing her fourth full-length album, "11:11" to be released in 2011. Updates can be found on her website at www.chiasm.org and on Facebook.
Emileigh takes pride in maintaining complete creative control over her project and enjoys the music process from start to finish. She is known to remix and collaborate with other artists when the interest arises.
