Me in a "Nutshell"

Hello, my name is Nicole and I am from New Jersey. I am currently living with my parents to help them out with the house. I don't mind because I have the same freedoms as if I were living by myself. I also have a very interesting relationship with my boyfriend, Chris. I love him dearly but sometimes he drives me insane. lol
Personality wise I am a very kind, sweet, and down to earth. I don't judge an individual right a way, however I can determine an individuals personality within the first day. Usually first impressions are important to me. If you come off with negative attention, I might never talk to you again or I will limit the amount of contact. I do have a negative side to my personality. I am very, very angry at people (in general). I hate people who think like sheep and never think beyond what the "box" tells them. I rather be someone who questions and not always takes fact as absolute. Nothing is absolute. I don't claim to know everything, however I try understanding as much as I can about the world. I like talking about certain topics such as, animal welfare, the welfare of children/ the human race, the environment, how entertainment impacts culture, the need for change, understanding morality verse religion, religion (general), and I can go on. I don't care for debating like animals or saying one person is wrong over the other, but to speak about how you came up with your opinion. I like to keep an open mind to people's opinions and ideas.
Religion and Politics is something asked a lot to me or generally asked about. I realized that talking about it can put so much strain on a relationship, whether family, friendship or lover. I can honestly say I am agnostic. I question the value of religion and understand morality is not founded by religion or a God, but founded by mankind's to survive. Everyone is set with some understanding of morality but nothing is universal either. Each individual is different with what morals come first. It can all depend on how one is raised (whether negative or positive) or the environment they are brought up in. Still, we have a mind that can think outside our environment. We should always look into a variety of moral, ethical codes and see what fits in our lives and what we can distill on our future (or the children of our future). I believe education, natural understanding, and the ability to want to do good (regardless of religion), is the key to saving ourselves. I don't think we need religion to determine ethics/ morality but we need to understand them in order to better understand each other. I rather understand then be blatantly ignorant towards someone's faith.
Politically I am in the middle. I like Obamma (I will admit it) but I feel it was not his time for "change". His ideas can be helpful but I think Americans want everything to be the same. Government is never perfect and to have a government closed to change is not a good idea. We find ourselves in a recession because humans are not logical on how to manage currency. We also allow outside sources to control much of the funding in American culture. The federal reserve is not controlled by government but by bankers, private investors and I could go on. We lost faith in our government because they allow none government agencies (whether cooperate banks, businesses etc..) to control the wealth in our society. Americans complain about communism, socialism, fascism but they don't understand capitalism is not good either. You need some sort of balance. The problem also lies is that we need someone in the middle. We don't need a conservative or a liberal, but a moderate individual willing to listen to all sides and make logical, ethical chooses to help the middle class and low class survive. Middle class is what determines the wealth of a nation and if we forget them, we fall flat on our asses. I don't know all the workings of politics but from my observation, people will believe in none government officials, and that is not good. They believe in people who do things for ratings. Causing Americans to be split up, and causing unnecessary hate. It proves Americans have become sheep. We follow the same bull crap over, and over again. When will we actually "change" with times?
Okay, enough with my rants. I have no beef with conservatives or liberals but I have beef with those who think that if you are not conservative, you are not an American, or believe if you are not liberal, then you are not sympathetic. I love debating, I love the knowledge that people can decide what to believe but I hate the ignorance that goes with it. We need to stop ignorance and start realizing that because someone says something on the internet in a fancy website, or someone said something on their talk show, that they are correct. No, not always. Be open, be respectful and understand each other. It won't hurt you to view the other sides of the argument and understand them. :/ Will it?
