Naomi Gender: Feminine Usage: English, Jewish, Biblical Pronounced: nay-O-mee From the Hebrew name ??????? (Na'omiy) meaning "pleasantness". In the Old Testament this is the name of the mother-in-law of Ruth My father named me by opening a bible at random. To this day I'm glad I didn't get Ezekiel or something.  Yes. I can survive. I live in a tiny town, and I hate seeing the same people again and again everyday, and live for times away. Shame they seem to get less and less :( I like things to be simple. Like this. But people are awfully complex; and I'm no exception. "You and I are past our dancing days" ...I was never very good at dancing anyway. I'm not very good at a lot of things. I've not done much that's really interesting. I've never left Europe, or travelled further than Germany one way and Scotland the other. (I won't lie, I envy people who go on holiday and see places I won't) I've not seen great sights or done great things. I'm not all that amazing beyond the way every person is. I'm just Naomi. Pleasant like my namesake. That's why the things I'm proud of, and people I love are so important to me. I'm a real life Top Gun (Jealous?), and I have my wings. I also make hell of a cup of tea I'm trying my best to build my own life, and I long since got over the fact that I can't have it all, and some people aren't going to like it. At the end of the day, I'm just trying to find a cheat code xD. ♠ I'm not much of a girl...I like going out on expeds and getting muddy and not caring what I look like. I can't straighten my hair, I'm not very good at shopping and I'm rubbish at shoes :p Yet I seem to own more skirts than trousers...Especially for smartness. ♣ I have an amazing boyfriend - and it says a lot about my luck that he happens to live at a different end of the country to me. ♥ I love music, but can hardly play a thing. I don't like needles, but I give blood. ♦ ♠ ♣ ♥ ♦ I want to be a space pirate/cowboy. I prefer sitting round at a friend's house with a few drinks to dressing up and going out...But I do enjoy dressing up for occasion :] I realised that not everyone has a perfect life. In fact I doubt anyone does. We all have our troubles, some people just have more obvious ones. Get to know me properly. I don't go to gigs so much anymore, and I miss the days of turning up to local gigs and having a good time no matter who was playing. I make the best tea. Fancy a cuppa? No really, I do People used to come and see us at Port Elliot just 'coz I made tea :] Here are a few more things I love: The sun, sitting on the hoe, plym, music, curling up with a book to shut everything out, staying in bed, hugs, romance, walking, cycling, sailing, cadets, summer lunchtimes down the hack, summer in general, festivals, mullion cove, flying, drill [but nowhere near as much as Kev and Kate], running around the back of the theatre, often away from the SM xD, the period between sleep and awake, converse, Port Eliot festival, random nights out, waking up with souvenirs from said nights out, shooting at Tipner range, being at sea and the way a ship rocks in the waves, rain, burlesque, fairy lights. ...To name a few things. And steve. My amazing fianceeS Dislikes: Favorite Music: My music collection, according to iTunes, will last me 10.5 days of listening goodness :] I like anything from britpop, right round to industrial, taking brief pit stops in rock and metal, before a quick diversion through punk. Good eh? Live music is the best music, and ska shows are the best shows. I miss the days of the tiny local scene when I would discover bands by accident, then see them on TV a year later. Good times.
