My Story Bit

I don't mind that you're not going to read this part, but I think it's only fair to warn you that you're missing out on cunningly incorporated tales of rambunctious debauchery and sexual perversion.

I find it difficult to know what to say, without sounding like a broken record. Most online profiles are tired rehashings of old cliches, but perhaps the old cliches are the best. Have you noticed the increasing trend towards meaningless catch-phrases- "You don't know me so don't label me!", or unprovoked threats- "...and don't you DARE say anything bad against my friends or I'll kick your head in!"? Heaven forbid we should actually have to write something informative about ourselves, and realize how utterly trite we are.

(So with that in mind, I would just like to say that I'm completely fresh and unique).

Here are some things about me that you might possibly find more interesting than reading a lengthy list of my favourite bands, or doing whatever piece of important work you're hiding from here on VF:

» I am cultivating a weird monkey obsession. I like to spell monkey with a H monkeh. I find it phonetically pleasing.

» I was a Christian when I was a child, but years of church provided me with much too much quiet time to contemplate the feasibility of it all.

» I love the smell of matches that've just gone out, tarmac in the sun and Calpol.

» I'm a bit arrogant and a little spoilt. I always want to do everything better than anyone else, including my own previous self. I start things with immense enthusiasm, then abandon them with equal enthusiasm approximately 3 weeks later. I'm much better at fine detail than the big picture.

» When I was sixteen I could hula hoop for an hour without dropping it or getting tired (I timed it).

» When I was seventeen I decided to work / live at a stables in the lake district... it lasted about a week.

» I get annoyed quickly, but calm down quickly too. I don't have the memory to bear a grudge. I enjoy the occasional screaming row, especially with partners.

» I put cheese on my spaghetti Os, and occasionally in my soup.

If you want to leave me a comment but you're still stuck for something to say, why don't you tell me what you'd do with 20 million dollars and a sense of humour? *Disclaimer* You may have to start with "your profile says..." as I have the memory of a.. what are those gold coloured fish called?

And the vivid descriptions of sexual perversion you were promised? Heh. Guess you really can't believe everything you read on the internet!

Depends on the job really if i use a premade or something of my own. I tend to use premade forums though like SMF because of its just faster and if something goes wrong i can just search there support besides spending hours going through my own code trying to see whats going on. I had a job the other day that came up and i did not at all want to do it so i bid it very high. I bid at $600 and it was really only a $200 job and they emailed me back asking me when i could start haha. Something else i do is create 2 different .css style sheets, one for IE7 and the other for everything else. Saves so much time and headache that just trying to get something to style right for everything. i think a lot of people are going to that now, to save time and trouble since the number of web browsers is crazy now and they update every week.

I love the site you have im crazy over orange and black.

LOL yea i know its not allowed but still fun haha.

Yea i have the codes on my site Jerico to hide the ads on your myspace profile and i had a compliant that there was a gap when they used it because they had other codes they was using with it. Like im going to make sure the code works for the billions of other codes people use for myspace. I got the codes to hide ads on VF also but havent had any complaints about those yet.

I did make a networking site a few years back for around $4500 but the owner was a dick so it didn't do well and after a year he had to shut it down because he kept running the members off. All my sites have some kind of php in them because its so much better to use than just html. Like all my sites only have one header and footer file so when you update a link on the menu you only have to do it once and not for every page on your site. I do a lot of sites with blogs build in so that needs a lot of php, liek the atlanta pro bike site has a blog to control the news and events posts.

lol yea i noticed it but haven't got to fixing it yet. I charge up to $3000 for all the php work i do, i have yet to get a flash job so im not sure what i would bid it at. For myself i hate flash, its for looks only and is pointless when having a site that needs user interactions. If your just showing off something its great. I love working with php you have got to learn more about it its so fun.

Wow your using IE7 haha cool. I use IE7 full time so yea.

Yea i get a client every once in a while that just gets under my skin but i love what i do so i just have to put up with it. One thing about the themes i offer on my site is that i hate giving support but i guess its all part of it. I dont mind someone having an honest support question but most of it is easy html stuff that anyone buying or downloading a theme should already know haha

lmao yea it does seem like that in web design, there is always competition out there so you do what you got to i guess.

For a basic site like the skate shop i charge about $200. for more complex and nicer things like the 2 you like it can be anywhere from $600 to $3000 depending on how many pages and such. i haven't been doing this professionally long just about 6 months and just now really started getting busy. Now i have to much work at one time. I love what i do though and i love being at home and not having to have a normal job, i have a 5 month old little girl so i love being here with her watching her grow up and seeing the new things she does everyday.

Most of the sites that say coming soon are really done on my side im just waiting for the people to get the content up so i can insert it, everyone wants everything done right now until its on then then they dont seem to move haha

If you ever need anything please just let me know, i am easy to work with and helpful i swear :-)
