Profile: Joachim Sobczak, already known as a member of Siechtum, stirs up the EBM-scene with his solo-project Schattenschlag. After releasing his debut album "Flashback" (Trisol) in 2002, he´s now back with its follow-up album "Gefühlskalt", to be released on Pandailectric in springtime 2004. Musically Schattenschlag moves into a clear position among the musicindustry, finding a convinceable mixture of independence and tough, danceable electro / industrial sounds, without getting lost among thousands of epigones. His aggressive and musically almost psychotic characteristics build up a perfect symbiosis between his lyrics and artwork. It evokes a distorted reflection of human and social structures. As a soloartist Joachim has now the possibility to give the focus on his vocals, work with guestartists on stage and realize his creative ideas in his manner. Hereby it´s most important to him to present his music to his audience on stage as often as possible. Beyond Schattenschlag Joachim works for other bands as a remixer (e.p. In Strict Confidence, ASP, Lame Immortelle, Infekktion and others). The year of 2006 is a massive breakthrough for the band.
