SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE (ACOUSTIC)
Sounds Like: BIOGRAPHYRUNON FRAGMENT is a Southern California hard rock band which uses elements of metal, soul and grunge in its music. It was formed by lead singer Mark, who now plays bass for the band, in 2004. The vision of this band was to incorporate the many facets of rock and roll music. The band members share a diverse appreciation for different genres of music and bring it together to create our own little brand of rock and roll.OUR FIRST ALBUM RF's first album songs were written over the course of two to three years to document Mark's life experiences in Southern California to build a sound that paid tribute to classic and modern rock. From his anthemic tribute to skateboarding in "Concrete Wave" to analysis of the war in "Some Things Never Change", each song tells a story and presents different musical influences. From the beach cities to the mountains and deserts to the bustling city life of Los Angeles, Runon Fragment's music is proudly Southern Californian. From grunge to classic rock to surf rock to alternative/modern rock, RF's music is proudly American rock and roll. LIVE SHOWS Runon Fragment has had a run of successful shows in Southern California including the Whisky A Go Go in February 21, the Knitting Factory in April 20 and May 26, Viper Room on June 17 and a headlining night at the Whisky A Go Go in August 19. In May, they opened up for National act Sponge for 2 dates in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Runon Fragment's big headlining night on Saturday, August 19 at the legendary Whisky A Go Go featured a dynamite live show and was attended by a strong local following to support the first album. The live band featured Brandon Stillson on bass and Dave Ward on drums.
Influences: CURRENT NEWSMusic Videos Runon Fragment is in the process of filming their videos for "Concrete Wave" and "Some Things Never Change" (April 7 shoot date). The latter video will be released on May 10, 2006. Catch it first right here.May 26, 2007: Show in Vegas Runon Fragment is playing a show on Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday, May 26, 2007) with Madame Sunset and her Kittens' cabaret troupe in Las Vegas. This awesome show will feature three other kickass bands. For some great hard rock music and beautiful girls, mark your calendars and come party with us in Sin City. Album 2 Release on October Hey everyone, thanks for listening to work from our first album here on Myspace. We appreciate all the support from all the great people who have supported our band through the years. This support system has allowed us to push forward to create our second album, which we are very proud of. Welcoming new drummer on board, James, we have crafted a great sound that we are so excited to share with the fans. Of course, a lot of work is being done in the production end and we are looking to have the album done by October 2007.
