Waves of mind scapes of sound crashing into your brain, is a simplistic
way to describe the asention of music traveling to your insides. Words are a
harsh label for music of this nature, but necessary to express the nerve
rapture this c.d. engulfs one in. Hypnotic atmospheric dreamy ambiance, with
a slight undercurrent of drum'n'bass patterns. Are enfolded with an airy
persiflage of vocals, which are cascaded into vaporous dub loops creating a
layered liquification of sound. This Vancouver based band is naturally
delicate but powerful. I found this c.d. perfect for many occasions, but
none as beneficial as after a rave. The beats keep you going, but the pulse
of the music is smooth enough for your crashing body. Mistake this not for
"Rave Music"(by my words), it's in a category all by itself. Inside and out
this c.d. is definitely something to enlighten your collection. Perfume Tree
stopped functioning at the end of 99'. Veloce have risen from the ashes of
Perfume Tree.
