in this duo, miss kittin does the vocals, which are generally spoken word, poetic, sarcastic, cynical vocals, with a great accent, and the hacker does all the electronics, which are dark electronica, medium-tempo electronic beats, with a sinister feel to it. the music has a flow to it that is almost suspenseful and dramatic, and is very intricate and constantly changing and evolving, yet always keeping a constant beat. the combination of the vocals and the music just makes this a great band. miss kittin's lyrics can be very in-your-face, my favorite track on this album is "frank sinatra", which features such great lyrics as "motherfuckers are so nice, suck my dick, lick my ass, in the mix we have sex, everynight with my famous friends" this song is fucking great. i keep finding myself singing "suck my dick, kiss my ass, frank frank sinatra". other favorite tracks of mine include "life on mtv", and "1982". all the tracks have the same basic feel to them, with the great electronic music and miss kittin's kick-ass vocals. something about her accent, its just great. this album has a lot of mass appeal, and is electronica / electroclash / eletropop with an 80s influence to it. its not industrial or synthpop, but its got great dark electronic beats and great vocals.
