This is currently one of my favorite synth-pop cd's. "Iris" was formerly known
as "Forgiving Iris" until they changed their name. Their sound is very
similar to beborn beton. Uplifting soothing intricate electronic melodies with
smooth happy sounding synthpop vocals. This album really puts me in a good mood.
It's got a great emotional feel to it. Very melodic synth sounds make this a
great club album perfect for dancing to. Iris's sounds reminds me of New Order
of the 80's. This album probably would have been very popular if it came out
during the 80's since it sounds very much like New Wave. The song "Annie
Would I Lie To You" off this album is the most popular song on the album,
and it is a worldwide club hit. Last time I was at the batcave/albion in nyc
they played this song and I joined a packed floor of goths dancing to this
song. My personal favorite song off this album is "Lose in Wanting". If you
like synthpop, this album is a must-have. All of the songs on this album
are very well done and you can tell Iris put a lot of hard work into this
album.
