Columbus Ohio's "Flesh field" backed by their Canadian based label
"Inception Records", release one of the greatest albums of the year,
"belief control". In my
Opinion, this album is a window into the future of industrial music.
A Gothic\Industrial hi-bred with a pinch of noise is the best way to
describe the sound of this new album.
From the Gothic groove of songs like "caged", to the total hardcore mind-blowing
beats and unexpected tempo changes in "conquer me", this album is a tremor
of emotions.
Another quality I find in this album is the fact that it has some vary
experimental soundscapes. Not a lot of bands can be experimental, and sound
good. Flesh field pulls it off nicely.
Like their last album "viral extinction", the new album will make you see
industrial music in a new light, no cheese ass over used synth loops here.
"Belief control" picks up right where "viral extinction" left off, on the
road to something new and fresh. This band is just getting better and better
as time go's on.
I short, this album kicks ass, and everybody should own it. If you liked the
last one, you'll love this one. If you have never heard anything by them
before, you should defiantly give them a listen! Kudos to Ian and Rian, this
album is a masterpiece.

I must say, I really enjoy it when a good industrial band can incorporate
both male and female vocals into their music, and Fleshfield does this
excellently. The rhythms are great, hard-hitting industrial sounding.
This band has some true talent, with many unique sounds incorporated
into their music. As the first album from Fleshfield, it is quite
impressive. Multiple layers of intricate industrial soundscapes.
The closer you listen, the more you realize how complex this album really
is. Hard drum sounds and electronic rhytms interspersed with melodic
ethereal synth melodies. The male vocals range from spoken word to
harsh screams, and while there are so many changes, it flows very smoothly.
The female vocals are absolutely beautiful and very fluid. This woman
has an amazing voice and its sounds excellent against the industrial
soundscapes, giving the music an uplifting effect. This is a fairly new album
off the inception-records label, which is a small but growing label
in the industrial scene. The thing I really like about this album is that
there are many changes in the songs, so it never gets monotonous or boring.
I recommend this album to any fans of good underground industrial music.
