I've definitely liked De/Vision's newer stuff a lot better than their older releases. While their older stuff is good also, they seem to be going in a more electronic / techno influenced direction, which is cool. They also did a couple singles with Green Court, the famous techno producer, over the past couple of years, which I highly recommend those singles, by the way. So, perhaps their recent techno collaborations have influenced their music. In any case, I think their new stuff is really good, and this EP is no exception.

track by track commentary:
01 - Digital Dream (Analogue at 46 hz Mix by Icon of Coil)
A great synthpop track, with a steady dance beat and trance buildups, the chorus is very melodic and beautiful, overall it's a fantastic track
02 -Drifting Sideways (Radio Edit by T.O.Y.)
This track is De/Vision's latest single, and also my favorite track on this CD. Definitely an amazing track, has a great beat to it and the vocals are great. Destined to be a club hit, its a very danceable track.
03- Miss You More (Telekommandor Mix)
A more melodic track, has some great synth lines behind it, it's more soothing and calming than the other tracks, still a great track though.
04 - Drifting Sideways (Alternative Mix)
Well, this is pretty interesting, there's acoustic guitars in it! Definitely an interesting combination putting guitars in this track, I like the T.O.Y. version found on this CD a lot better, but it's still good and puts a unique twist on the song.
05 - Wrench
An instrumental song, sounds kind of jazzy. Very downtempo, would be good to smoke a spliff to. ;)
06 - Drifting Sideways (Phobotaxis Mix)
A good version of this song, had a more analog old-skool electro sound to it, and seems a bit slowed down. Pretty good though, there's some cool vocal effects.
07 - Digital Dream (DJ Ram's Electroclash Mix)
True to electroclash style, it has a low bpm and some interesting electro sounds in it. A pretty good remix, although I prefer the higher bpm version, this mix has a good vibe to it, and with electroclash being all the rage these days, I'm sure some people will prefer this version.

Artist: De/Vision
Album: World Without End
De/Vision's one of the more popular synthpop bands out there. They have a style similar to Beborn Beton. This is actually one of their older albums, but it has their most popular songs on it, "Try to Forget", which is a club hit. Other good songs on this album include "Dinner without grace" and "Your hands on my skin". While there are a few very good songs on this album, other songs are not so great. Considering how good "Try to forget" is, this album was a bit disappointing.
