This album seems to be more upbeat than their previous releases. Still sticking
to the synthpop style, but And One seems to be experimenting a bit more with
different sounds. The title track seems like a parody of mainstream bands. The
song starts out with a sample of a corny sounding announcer. This track's not
exactly club material, but it's catchy and pretty amusing.
"Wasted" is a song with a very sarcastic overtone to it, which is pretty cool
going along with the light synthpop sounds. "You dont love me anymore" is a mellow,
relaxing song about a failing relationship. "Goodbye Germany" is one of the
better songs on the album. It has a nice bouncy beat to it. "wet Spot" is
definitely my favorite song on the album. It has a very eery intro to it and a
great beat to it that sticks in your head. The vocals on this track are very
vindictive, making it the perferct song to listen to while thinking of your enemies.
I can picture this song being played at clubs. "Panzermensch" reminds me of their
older club hit, "Deutschmachine". This song's definitely the most danceable song on
the album. Perfect for all the rivetheads who like to go nuts on the dancefloor.
"My story" is a very charismatic song. It sounds romantic. "Life to lose" is some
good 'ol cheesy synthpop. :) "Not the only one" is my least favorite song on the
album. It's not bad, but it didnt really do it for me. It sounds old-fashioned
somehow. "Don't need the drugs" is a decent song. I tend to like songs about drugs
for some reason, even though this song's not the best. "Mr. Jenka" is a nice
emotional song with german vocals. On first listening to this album, the only songs
which really stood out for me were "Wet Spot" and "Panzermensh", but this album
has grown on me. Another great album from And One
