Mekanik Sef was formed in 2002 in the small Transylvanian town of Zarnesti (6 miles away from the legendary Dracula's Bran castle)in Romania by Lucian Ion a romanian- american from New York,vocal,keyboards programming and two romanians: Dan Barbulescu-guitar and computer manipulation and Dan Virgil-groove machine. The band has recorded three albums: The most alive-2004. -Insomniac-2005. .In December of 2008 the band has released their third album Mechanical War, which was recorded and mixed at their own studio, Industrial Noise Room. (INR) The band Mekanik Sef is seen as one of the pioneers of industrial rock, from Romania.
