just an add:
I am not a music phd but celldweller was always an uncategorizable uniqueness for me, like a oneofakind style: Celldweller
I never liked dnb on its own, but the way they used it was groundbreaking.
If this is going to happen with ds, I trust a pioneer like Klayton to make it turn out to a new hybrid.
Honestly, I think that Klayton incorporating Dubstep into his work just proves his musical genius. I remember at Triton asking him about his use of dnb and dubstep in his live sets and he pretty much gave the same answer. He said it with such passion though, it's actually beautiful. Rarely have I spoke to individuals with as much love as he has, and that on it's own is inspiring. One of a kind like Roland said.
I actually dislike Asking Alexandria, but his dubstep remix was actually great. And at the show he just played in NY? Mixing Mau5/Morgan Page with Slayer and his own twist? Black Sabbath and Metallica?
It really makes you realize how incredibly lucky you are if you get to see this man live (with or without Bret, who is just as incredible as Klayton) and to actually know his music. Personal opinion though.
i could never complain about him mixing up different musicstyles and changing, because this is what makes his music somehow very unique and even if i don't like dubstep, i personally love his music like it is, keep on working klayton
I'm impressed with what Kevin and Chris did, they actually used a lot of footage from the actual show, that night was full of wub, wub, wub.... XD It's great to see people enjoying themselves and supporting an artist for what they are, all kinds of mixtures of people were there that night, was fun and very interesting, it was something you had to be there for....
Looks like theyve gone back to the form of their debut as the last couple of albums have just been very similar in style as in they all sound like music from a movie soundtrack. The new tracks have more of a basic structure but the songs have more hooks in them, an awesome album overall, hope they tour the UK!
I met him at the Denver show last night: he was everything i imagined him to be! Klayton has the kind of charisma you don't see very often, very open and real. He was truly there for the people that needed to know him. What a truly special way to appreciate a magnificent human being on this planet!
