Recording the new Album

Recording has been coming along nicely. We were able to record drum tracks last weekend for As She Dies, desecrate and snowblind. Then this past weekend, we recorded guitar parts for snowblind, and laid down the vocals.
We exported the tracks from Cubase5 slapped them onto a flash drive, moved it over to the pro-tools rig, and then loaded the wavs in there. Then myke recorded his guitar parts, using the Eleven rack as a pre, and his awesome new Jackson Flying V guitar.
Everything is shaping up pretty brutal, and i am thrilled. We still need chris to come over and put down the bass parts, and then ill layer in the samples. Myke was experimenting with a keyboard intro, it will definitly fatten things up with some keys on this, maybe next week bring the virus over mikes place.
beleive me, i am finding it extremely hard to resist the urge to post the demo mixes as we make them, but it would really take away from the impact this song is going to leave when you hear it the first time.
so for now, heres a video of myke recording his solo on the track “snowblind” , he really shreds, and the sound is decent for being off a camera phone.

here is video of viktim recording scotty’s drum performance. we are recording into cubase 5, via a presonus firedpod, and also recording midi via a roland 80 into an alesis dm5 into a midiman midi-usb converter
