finally flying out to Los Angeles for all my Cali friends
December 26, 2011, 11:17:pm
I'm flying out to LA on Feb. 23rd and leaving the 26th, I'll be there looking for jobs and apartments plus I'm attending Release the Bats for the first time! hope to see all you guys there!
well due to a case of odd circumstances and dumb luck I've come into enough cash to take a trip to LA to explore the deathrock and punk scenes for a four day weekend, probably won't be until around late January because the holidays have got me strapped down with work, school and family obligations but afterwards it's a go.
forgot how bad it hurts to get busted in the eye with a beer bottle, still a great show though, though I may have gotten my new clothes stolen off my porch while I was at work, I swear if I find the fucker wearing my stuff in my apartment complex I'm gonna carve 'em up like a thanksgiving turkey, fuck you you thieving bastard.
alright guys I've started a small booking/promotion company dealing with punk, goth and deathrock, it's called Unholy Burial, me and a friend have got it started so the bands will have a cheaper booking group to deal with that offers the same benefits.
First show for us is Aug. 28th at the Mink off of Main and Alabama, it's gonna be the Wrong Ones, The Freakouts, the Dirty Needles and Spastic Fit, pretty even mix of punk, rock n roll and glam rock, doors open at 8 pm, five bucks to get in.
Second one is Sept. 24th at the Mink as well, doors open at 7 pm, cover is five bucks, bands on the bill are Johnny Hootrock, The Alley Queens, Peasant, and Chelsea Hotel followed by a rockabilly beauty pageant just for shits and giggles:P it's gonna be a bad ass show, don't miss it! this night is a tribute to the Cramps so you'll hear all your favorites played plus I'm DJing before and after the bands sets.
