Profile:
I am an industrial/EBM DJ hailing from Halifax NS, with 20 years of experience behind me. I've been spinning industrial for well over 10 years. I spent 5 years as a guest DJ for Shadowplay, one of the region's more notable goth/industrial events. 2 1/2 years were spent spinning in the Midwest US, primarily Kansas City MO, and some guest spots in Springfield MO and Fayetteville AR. I've worked with many DJs and performers in the genre, including End: the DJ (Masque & Veil), DJ Spider, DJ Mouse (Eccentrik Festival), DJ Dhust (Black Brothyl Productions), The Cruxshadows, Ayria, Ego Likeness, Voltaire, The Last Dance, Spanking Machine, and Celldweller, just to name a few. When I returned to Canada, I got involved with a monthly event in Halifax called MasQ, which has since ended its run. I'm also the host of Totally 80s & Dark Industry, two online radio shows on Endeavor Radio.

On being a DJ... I've had people tell me I should have a little more of an ego about my skills...and they say that because I tend not to talk too much about how well I hit that mix, or I knew that track would work well, or I'm sure no one could have made that transition better than that. There's times I've heard a mix by someone and thought I could have followed up better...but I don't usually voice my opinions, because I don't want to sound like I'm "God's gift to the scene"...I know there's someone better than me...and I strive to get to their level, and the next level, and so on. I'd like to think I have a healthy attitude about what I do...when it comes right down to it, the people that dance to the music I play are the ones I need to please...and if I can do that, then I'm doing it right. Also...there's been a lot of talk about "labels" on this site...the whole "I'm goth, I'm this, I'm that..." I used to be goth. However, over the years, things in my life have changed...and the music changed with it. If I were to choose a label for myself, it'd be "rivethead"...or maybe even "cybergoth." Though I think "rivethead" suits me better. I'll tell you now...I'm not overly fond of the way I look. My weight loss and gain changes with my moods, unfortunately. When I'm really happy, I lose weight, because I'm trying to...and I tend to gain it back when I'm depressed. Currently I'm trying to lose it. There are days...not many of them...when I look in the mirror and think "Wow...not bad." I cherish those days...
DJing, my girlfriend, cuddles, kissing (lots of it!), open minds, gadgets, computers, passion, affectionate souls, unfettered love, public displays of affection, snuggles on a cold night, lust, vampires, Japanese culture, anime/manga, Coca-Cola, Kirin milk tea, Ramune, and a lot more...i'm never good at these things...
Dislikes:
closed minds, cruel people, strings attached, flat soda/Pepsi, pettiness, true conceit, the blinding stupidity of the general masses, false souls, and condescending people...that's about it, i think...
Favorite Music:
I'll warn you now...this will be quite the list: VNV Nation, Covenant, Backlash, Komor Kommando, Icon of Coil, Combichrist, Panzer AG, Soman, Noise Unit/Front Line Assembly/Delerium, Colony 5, Zombie Girl, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, HIM, Funker Vogt, Manufactura, Decree, Terrorfakt, Xotox, Pneumatic Detach, C/A/T, New Order, Rob Zombie/White Zombie, Rammstein, Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Soft Cell, Apoptygma Berzerk, Assemblage 23, Imperative Reaction, Vibralux, God Project, Virtual Embrace, Asche, Accessory, Informatik, Kiew, Angels & Agony, Clan of Xymox, BlutEngel, Collide, Melotron, Camouflage, Absurd Minds, The Cure, Siouxsie, The Smiths, TKK, Das Ich, NIN, Marilyn Manson, Diary of Dreams, Download, God Module, Flesh Field, Glis, Evanescence, Feindflug, In Strict Confidence, Ministry, Project Pitchfork, Punto Omega, SITD, Suicide Commando, Sisters of Mercy, Type O Negative, Syrian, Velvet Acid Christ, Wumpscut, Auto Aggression, Angel Theory, 8khZ Mono, Battery Cage, Bauhaus, Cesium 137, Cruciform Injection, DavaNtage, Decoded Feedback, Die Form, De/Vision, Dismantled, Filament 38, Epsilon Minus, Heimataerde, Grendel, Heavy Water Factory...just to name a few....
