Profile: I'm playing guitar and singer in DirtyBlack metal band.. Band of DirtyBlack was organized by guitar/vocal Sinan Celik (me) and drummer Volkan Güney in 2001, we left from an underground band which is called “Legacy” and these two people worked together until 2002. We gained some materials in 2002 and Omer Kara (second guitar) and Volkan Kaya (bass guitar) joined us, so that DirtyBlack became a real band. The band made songs with these 4 people until January 2003. In January 2003, we made a demo which included 3 songs and 1 “outro”, sold average 300 in Istanbul. Both quality of recording and melodies were rather awful. In spite of these, beginning song of the demo was “Sit On”, nominated for an underground list of local radio and following week, the song became number 1. After that, a request came “Sit On” for being a part of complation and our song of “Sit On” took part in a national album “Comp-Station” which included 16 bands. We red positive articles about our demo in some magazines and this motivated us very much. After this demo, we made some shows, one of these was in a jazz bar was called Shaft, owners of the bar sold our demo, liked the band and wanted us to sing our songs. An enthusiastic metal band made a show in a jazz bar and it was so funny. :)) We made a new demo “Post-War” with 4 songs in 2004 that all the songs are made in only 1 year. We didn’t have much money so that the drums were sample and it was clear at first sight. We didn’t satisfy with “Post-War”, recordings were bad, album cover were worse. We didn’t support by professionals about the recordings and album cover. We made all these things, but “Post-War” drew an attention, Rock-station magazine which wrote the article about the first demo, offered us a report and we accepted immediately. Laterly, we evaluated some report offers too. The beginning song of the “Post-War” was “Skeleton Toys” took a part of 2 complation albums. A promotion firm which established in Bursa, a city in Turkey, was called Extreminal Distro offered to copy our demo and we accepted. They said that they wanted to design new cover for album, but we rejected this offer because we didn’t satisfy with 2 albums. We thought about making a 3 rd and last demo. The stuff which made 2 demos were: Sinan Celik (guitar/vocal) Omer Kara (guitar) Volkan Kaya (bass) Volkan Guney (drum) When we thought about our future, some problems appeared. Both Omer Kara and Volkan Kaya left from the band at the same time in June 2004. Instead of them, Murat Erdogdu ( 2nd guitar) and Cagdas Gunal (bass) joined and we went to some festivals in some cities. One of these was underground Hell Fest 2 and we think that it was the best performance of us. Unfortunately, this festival was in a small city and press wrote a little line about us. In December 2004, Murat Erdogdu decided to leave and after a month we found a 2nd guitarist was named Murat Memis and left-handed. The band waits for adaptation of Murat Memis now. In a short time, we will start to make our 3rd and last demo. We believe that it will be wonderful...
