Cult FAQs
1) Why do contests have a post minimum to enter?
I put a 5 post count minimum on the contests so people would post around and not just enter the contest with their first few posts. We have plenty of threads (chat, games, requests, voting) to gain these posts in no time at all.
2) I can't find that intro thread, is there one?
No there is not an intro thread, there really isn't a need for one. If you want to say hello, feel free to use the chat thread.
3) What do I have to do to request an icon, banner, layout?
Look through the Designers subforums, they are also linked on the main page for your convenience, then read the designer of your choice rules, then request! Its that simple, we don't ask for post counts or any other form of payment for our work, just as long as you are willing to use them!
4) How long will it take to get my request filled?
We try to get them done ASAP, but sometimes life gets in the way. Be patient with your designer, some get them done within 24 hours, some things take a little longer then others. Requests shouldn't take more then 4 days to be completed. If you've been waiting a week (7 days) or more for your request to get filled, contact the designer (or me, the owner) and ask politely if they have finished yet. We've had issues in the past where designers just disappear, in the event something like that happens, you will be contacted by myself asking if you'd still like your request.
Graphics FAQs
1) Where can I find vf layout codes?
The best place for most of vf codes is
VFLayout.com, the site has gallery, profile, journal, cult, codes and will soon have the new cult template codes, as well as premade layouts and graphics.
2) Where can I get a photo manipulation/animation program?
First there is GIMP, which is the closest thing to photoshop for free.
3) How do I add an emote to an icon?
Animation Shop is the easiest way, you get a 60 day free trial or you can find it on torrents for free.
4) Where do I get a movie gif for my icon?
Try searching on Tinypic.com, photobucket.com, GifFlix.com.
5) How do I get that diagonal line effect over my picture?
Click here and here to download Photoshop brushes.
6) How do I get a custom cursor on my layout?
An explanation on cursors can be found here, there are a lot of different things you can do.
7) Where do I request a layout?
We have 3 or 4 designers that make layouts, check the designer forums which are linked on the main page and fine a designer you would like to make you one.
