The eternal society Vampirefreaks Cult of Mana-sama's current solo project, Moi dix Mois.
Moi dix Mois was created on March 19, 2002 by Mana (ex Malice Mizer co-founder) who is still persuing this band today.
The original support members of Moi dix Mois, Juka (vo), Kazuno(b), and Tohru (dr) left in Spring 2005 to continue to persue individual careers-- each working as members for other bands, solo projects, or support members.
Moi dix Mois' current line up consists of Mana(g), K (g and vo.), who entered the band in winter of 2004, Seth (vo), Sugiya(b), and Hayato (dr).
The band originally started out in an indescribable sound of classical and rock elements, which to many was thought to be similar to that of Mana's compositions in late MALICE MIZER. The themes of the beginning of Moi dix Mois were heavely influenced by the ideas of Elegance, Darkness, Romance, and Mystery, including a heavy lean on synth.
However, over time Mana has been trying to experiment for the highest most possible "perfect sound" for the band. With this, he has made some changes and the band has been progressively becoming less dependant on the sound of the synthesizer and more focused on the "twin guitar" sound of Mana and K.
Moi dix Mois has performed tours throughout Japan, Germany, and France. They were invited as the guest of honor at Wave Gothic Treffen 2006 and are currently making plans to play an extended tour in Europe in October 2007.
