 Welcome to the Music Revolution Julien-KDescription:  [Listen To Julien-K]{Another window will open, so click play and explore the cult] "Julien-K was conceived in 2003, by Orgy guitarists Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh. We wanted to continue our experimentation/exploration of electronic music. I wanted to create electro music with honest vocals and lyrics that meant something. Vocals with melody and passion. Amir wanted to completely throw the sonic/technical rule book out the window- use technologies that have not been used (by anybody), and at the same time NOT let the technology overwhelm us- keeping our eyes on songwriting. Both of us wanted to attempt to make electronic music rock as hard as a traditional rock band in a live setting. So there you have it, now you know what were trying to accomplish. We just completed our first record, which we are calling "Death to Analog". Along the way, we picked up a new member, Brandon Belsky. Brandon worked with us in Orgy, and he plays everything (to pre-empt a thousand fucking questions). Fu (Anthony Valcic, Engineer, Vapor Transmission) has been working closely with us as well, for over a year. As many of you already know, we (JK) have also completed a solo record with Chester Bennington. We are calling the band Snow White Tan, until we decide to not call it that. As of now, the band consists of Amir, Chester and I. Because of Chester's Linkin Park obligations, we have no information regarding WHEN the record will be released- but it is done, and it will come out. We (JK) are planning on doing some un-announced dates in Southern California after the first of the year. We may post some of the dates on Myspace- but who knows.. it's alot more fun to just go out and play for strangers" ~Ryan Shuck Now that Projekt Revolution is over, Julien-K is touring with Mindless Self Indulgence. But after that I was hooked on anything with synthesizers... Fortunately my cousin Jim bought a MicroMoog and he became a really good keyboard player. I on the other hand picked up the guitar. Now many years later I get my chance to play keyboards (and guitar of course)...... Having my fair share of synth noodling in Orgy I think my early influences are pretty obvious: Love & Rockets, Dead Or Alive, New Order, ABC, The Human League, Duran Duran, The Sisters Of Mercy, Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb, Yaz, Erasure, The Cure, Missing Persons, Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, The Pet Shop Boys, Devo, Ministry, INXS, The Cars, Berlin & Tears For Fears to name a few... Songs like "Blue Monday" and "Pump Up The Volume" really made me want to do dance music... Luckily we covered "Blue Monday" in Orgy and it is still one of my favorite songs! - Amir - Brandon - Elias -  Sometime in my early teens, The Cure broke Metallica’s stranglehold over my future. I grew up in a really small town, so the only time I had ever had a chance to hear bands like The Cure, New Order, Duran Duran, or Depeche Mode was when my parents would take me WAY out of town. It was only when my parents occasionally loosened their grip on me that I discovered there was life beyond Taft- beyond second and third generation recordings of Slayer, Iron Maiden, and Megadeth that I secretly listened to… lest my parents hear. - Amir - Ryan - Elias -  Brandon worked side by side with the guys of Orgy back when they were doing the sound track for Zoolander. He became great friends with the guys and kept in contact with Amir and Ryan. When Ryan and Amir started working more on Julien-K they asked Brandon to join as behind the scenes engineer type guy. Later on Ryan asked why He wasn't in the band and well after that you know how it goes, HE JOINED Julien-K. Here is the link for his Myspace page. I had recorded "Stitches" on a cassette tape and i would listen to it over and over and over. When I desided to take up playing the guitar I had always wanted to play like them. Since I play guitar I am usually a bigger fan of the guitarists over the singer, it seems everyone always goes nuts over the frontman. So when I found out about Julien-K, a band made by the 2 guitarist in my most favorite band, I was an instant fan. The music they make is exactly what I like; electronic, good singing, creative, ground breaking, pure, from the heart, meaningfull, etc. I can't wait to see were this goes!One Note - the Co-Owner Mind Frenzee is me, it just my music profile. I promoted it so i can work on this cult no matter which is loged in. - Back to Cult Owners List - - Vampyre2003 -  The name is Danielle but everyone calls me Dani or Vampyre. I am 22 and a single parent to a beautiful little girl. I am the lead guitarist in my band and I try and play every instrument that I get my hands on. I heard about Julien-K after I got back from Minnesota and was going through Amir Derakh's website. I have been a fan of ORGY since 1999 and I had the chance of seeing them live in which I did. I met Jay and Bobby but didn't meet Amir. I did however have the chance to stand 2ft from him and we had our starring thing going... I have the BIGGEST crush on Amir Derakh!! :) And that is why I am the owner of the Amir_derakh cult. :) I have loved Amir since he was in Jailhouse and Rough Cutt, which for all the kids was back in the 80's. I laid my eyes on him when I was 13 and fell in love without hesitation. Anything else Just ask, I don't bite...that hard. - Back to Cult Owners List - - Hornetchik -  I'm Justine, although i'm often called Jussy or Juss. I'm 17 years old, all the from New Zealand and I live in a rural area not far from a city called Invercargill. (I'm not a hick!) My favourite band is actually italian Gothic Rock band Lacuna Coil and Cristina Scabbia is my idol! But I also love both Orgy and Julien-K. I've only been listening to Orgy for just over a year, and Julien-K for even less than that, which isn't long compared to many other fans, but I still enjoy listening to their music and drooling over Ryan Shuck! (Who, by the way, is one of the sexiest men on earth.)
