Welcome to Dir en grey! This is a cult dedicated to the wonderfulness that is Dir en grey.
Here we can discuss the band, upcoming lives, music, and we'll be hosting some contests soon so keep a look out. But! ....there are a few simple rules to follow when and after joining.

25.09.2007' :: Kyori here. Well it looks like you're stuck with me guys ^^. lol, I'm just joking. I will do my best to be as good as you want me to be. As with the whole staff thing, don't worry, everyone who's already a staff will remain one, as long as you do your job. (That doesn't concern the co-owner, which means that her co-ownership is granted for life ^^. But I know she'll do her best as she already does.)
I guess that's all from me for now. I hope you'll be happy with me as an owner.
25.09.2007' :: Jade here. As you can see i transfered the ownership to Kyori. I'm unsubscribing from this cult cos it seems this whole j-rock thing was just a faze. But you're gaining one teriffic leader; she's both smart and beautiful. She'll take good care of this cult, i trust her with that.

Biography ::
A little history on the band: Before Dir en grey was formed, Kyo, Kaoru, Die, Shinya, and Kisaki had formed an indies band we all know as La:Sadies.
But unfortunately, (well, fortunately I guess because they formed Dir en grey?)Kisaki left the band for unknown reasons (it's been said he didn't get along with certain band members) on July 05, 1997. Now, they all still wanted to be in a band together. But what about a bassist? Then they remembered Toshiya, whom they met on a tour in Nagano and had become friends. Luckily Toshiya was a great bassist. THUS formed the band we all know and love, DIR EN GREY!
Dir en grey's name is combined of three languages. 'Dir' meaning you, or your in German, 'en' in French, and 'grey' in English. Supposedly it means the 'Grey Coin', but I have heard that they had just chosen that name because it 'sounded cool'. Either way, they rock. :D
Even though some songs, like Yokan, sound rather happy and cheery, none of the lyrics are. All of Dir en grey's lyrics are either sad, dark, mysterious, or similar of the sort. They try to "spread the feeling of hurt and sorrow caused by weakness, shallowness and egoism of humanity" and do a good job of it. Some songs make me almost cry with the stories told in them.
