Anti-Relapse is a group here on VF that provides advice, love, acceptance and comfort from people just like you. If you self-injure, do drugs, have an eating or mental disorder, we don’t just care. We know. Here at A-R, peer support is our forté. You’re not alone. But the serious stuff isn’t everything; there’s games, contests, bakies and convos. Recovery isn’t just dragging your heels. You deserve the fun.
So if you’re ready to recover, join. If you’re not, join anyway. You might just change your mind. If you’re a friend in waiting, join. No matter your past, you’re welcome.
Please read over these carefully for they are enforced very strictly!
1. Be respectful to all cult members!
This means no shit-talking to or about members of this cult. If you have an issue with another member, bring it to any staff member’s attention (preferably mine or Blooms’) and I will deal with it accordingly and fairly, ultimately. Disregarding this and disrespecting a member will have consequences. Either I will ask you to take a break from the cult, or I may ban you. There is no reason for conflict in a place where people are trying to better themselves.
2. Be honest.
This includes not creating stories to get attention. Cutting or any other type of self-harm is not healthy and is definitely not something to brag about. This cult can only help you if you are honest. We can't help a lie.
3. Post in the appropriate stickies.
If you are unsure where to post, please refer to the Posting Guidelines section.
4. Nudity, racism, or anything Nazi-related is NOT allowed!
5. Use correct grammar and spelling as best you can,

This section is here for you as reference to what is appropriate and what is not when posting. If you are new to A-R, I personally ask that you actually read this before you post. Again, this is not intended to limit anyone in Anti-Relapse, it is here to prevent accidents. Every member must not forget that A-R deals with a very sensitive subject.
1. Introductions
There is a special sticky for this one! It also holds conversations and concerns. You may introduce yourself any way you like, as long as it’s in this thread. No doubt you will be received warmly.
2. Conflicts
Yes, yes, there are such things as conflicts! Shocking, I know. Disagreeing is fine, but arguing to where there is name calling, downrating, or any kind of childish act is done, you will be given one warning. If you fail to heed that warning, you will be automatically deleted, and whoa! There’s no more conflict now is there? It is possible that during your membership to AR that you may dislike another member. It’s like being out in the real world, you don’t go up and punch them. You ignore them or try to get along anyway. If you feel that someone is disrespecting you without any motive, bring it to my, Bloom’s (edgeoftheworld), or any other staff member‘s attention. The problem will be dealt with according to the situation.
3. Pictures
You can add pictures to your posts, sure. Keep in mind that on VF, not just in this cult, nudity is not allowed. Racist and derogatory pictures/threads will be deleted immediately. Triggering pictures are also not allowed: slit wrists, razorblades, blood in general. I emphasize again, this is a recovery cult. *Triggering- To initiate an action (In this case, self-injury).
4. Artwork and Poetry
These two stickies have been joined together. So you have one little stop to show us your creative genius :]
5. History
I ask that you do not create posts asking the other members why they hurt themselves, how long they have been cutting, how deep they do it, or what they use. Not only is it pointless, it is triggering and just sparks competition over who has it worse. If you do, your post will be locked and you will be given 1 warning.

Probably everything I say in this would have been said by every single person before me but at least that proves how true it is. "AR has changed alot since the 2 years I've been on VF. It is at its best right now. We have the most amazing 300 plus memebers. They will bend over backwards to try and help you. I know when I come home and have a bad day I can come to AR and get out of the rut I am in. Coming on AR makes me smile no matter what mood I am in. Everyone is so loving and welcoming. Also the members will take time away from their lives to be on instant messangers to talk to you or find other means to communicate with you. AR is my home. It is home to every single members whether you have been a part of the cult 5 minutes of for 2 years."

AR what a great cult it is, I've made new friends and even meet people I call sister and mum *you know who you are* because they have helped me out so much. Every time I have a problem that I'd rather talk to people like me I aways come here because they're my Family. If you want to join the cult then good on you because the staff and memebers are always welcoming especially Puppets, Nikki and Blooms as well as the others but I need to try to get to know them better.

"As a multiple time member of A-R, I can only say good things about it. Its always been an extremely warm and welcoming environment, which is saying a lot seeing as its an online forum persay.. AR members are always willing to help.. as soon as you join, you're one with everyone else, a family. Its amazing how everyone comes together and helps each other. Whether the problem be big, or small, no matter the size, the effect, a bad day, to the world feeling like its falling apart.. everyones always been there for me, as well as for everyone else. Its a really amazing cult, and even if you don't self injure anymore, its still a good environment, because you can help people who were once like you, and if you do self injure still, people are there to be a support group for you.. its just a really amazing cult, the members are amazing, the meaning is amazing.. which is why I keep coming back to it.
