Covering Metallica on a cello, isn’t that insane? But that’s exactly where it all began for Apocalyptica. These four Finnish musicians started off with the release of their debut; “Apocalyptica Plays Metallica By Four Cellos”. Starting as a cover band and progressing into one of the best Finnish export products in metal music, Apocalyptica can now receive world wide recognition. In between they released 5 more albums called “Inquisition Symphony”, “Cult”, “Reflections, Reflections/Revised”, “Apocalyptica” and “Amplified – A Decade Of Reinventing The Cello”. With every new album their fan base grew more and more, leading to sold out venue’s all over the world. And hey, who’s to blame? Men jumping with cellos in their hands, headbanging like mad while playing and a drummer who keeps the beat up. It could be one of the most energetic shows you’ve ever seen. And they aren’t afraid of the fans either.
