I am who am am and not about to justify that to anyone nor am I going to change myself for anyone. As with all people, who I am is complicated but I'll try to put a few of my traits up here.
I consider myself to be both asexual and agendered. While my body is female, my mind is neither male nor female. As a panromantic asexual, I do desire a relationship with the right person but have no desire for anything sexual. I have been there, done that and have absolutely no interesting in doing that again. Its one of those things I have compromised about in the past and refuse to compromise about in the future.
Body modification is of incredible import to me and has become a major part of my identity and spirituality. It goes far beyond the merely physical, although I hold no judgements against those who modify themselves entirely for the aesthetics. Rather, it allows me to bring what I feel on the inside onto the outside. There are few, if any, things that I would ever give up my modifications for.
Sometimes I choose to indulge in a little weed, but I smoke cigarettes nor drink nor do I particularly enjoy being around drunk people. I respect the right of everyone to make their own choices in life as pertains to their own body, but appreciate no one trying to pressure me into drinking and strongly prefer not to be around drunk people.
Likes
Body modification of all sorts. Its a passion I've had for many years and something that allows me to take control of my own body.
Those with the confidence to do what is right for them. Its not about going against the grain, per say, its about being who you are on the inside regardless of whether that allows you to "fit in" or not. To rebel for the sake of rebellion is just as ridiculous as doing things to try to fit in simply for the sake of fitting in.
Metal. Metal will always be the music of my soul. While I listen to other genres, including some rock, goth rock, punk and industrial primarily, metal is the music that speaks to me the deepest.
A good debate. I love to argue. I'm an opinionated ass and usually not averse to sharing my opinions with others. I love nothing more than a good intellectual debate so long as my debate partner has the ability to keep things civil and not take disagreements in opinion as personal attacks.
Professional wrestling. Yes, I am a pro wrestling nerd and have been since I was a child. I know way too much about the hobby, from the modern day WWE to the 90s WCW, WWF and ECW to indies and Japanese wrestling to some of the older territory stuff.
Pen and paper roleplaying Tabletop gaming is one of my favourite activities. Its my primary exercise in creativity and I've been doing it for over a decade, from D&D to V:tM and other WoD games to Shadowrun and others. I've done a little LARPing as well, but I definitely don't have the same passion for it.
Dislikes
Mindless sheep. Whatever crowd you happen to follow, if you don't think before you act and simply follow because "everyone else is doing it" its both irritating and idiotic. Learn to think for yourself. Even following a minority fad without truly considering what you're doing and why you're doing it is just as bad as following the fads of the majority.
Intentional ignorance. I can accept that no one knows everything, gods know I certainly don't. But to willfully neglect knowledge when offered and to persist in living in perpetual ignorance is both frustrating and potentially dangerous. People have brains for a reason, learn to use them.
People who take things way too personally This dislike primarily has to do with people getting into debates and then taking every little disagreement personally. Learn to separate the idea of a personal attack from a difference of opinion. Its those differences of opinion that should make things more interesting.
Drunk people Nothing against people who choose to drink and no problem being around people who are buzzed, but as soon as someone is visibly drunk, I don't want to be anywhere in the vicinity if I have the choice. The only time I make an exception to this general rule is in the case of going to shows in which case I live with it for the sake of the music.
Pages that randomly start playing music Holy crap this is one of the most annoying things ever! A music player with the option to press play, but I hate going on pages in which music starts the moment I click on it. I will NEVER have a player on my page because of my personal hatred of this!
