Or just have a cup of coffee and leave the burdensome of the day behind you. All these joined also by dark music (mainly Gothic, Gothic Metal, Medieveal, Electro and Industrial) and dimly-lit Gothic atmosphere. We offer varieties of coffee and tea specialties; softdrinks; beer; wine; spirits from Absinth (Romania's largest sortiment of Absinth!)to Vodka; nonalcoholic, alcoholic and Absinth-Cocktails as well as season-specials like Ice-Coffee and fresh Ice-Tea in summer or spiced wine and spiced coffee in winter. The whole Cafe Umbra crew speaks Romanian and English, partly also Hungarian, French, Spanish and German. Themed Days: Every Tuesday: 12:00-18:00 ‘Metal-Café’: Music from different Metal styles all day, for example: Black, Death, Doom, Gothic, Power, Heavy, Thrash etc… 18:00-23:00 "Beware of Ghouls": Psychobilly, Horrorpunk etc., for example: Mad Sin, The Cramps, The Other, Koffin Kats, Raygun Cowboys, Silver Shine, Misfits, Calabrese and many more. Every Thursday ‘Alternative-Café’, dedicated to the dark side of alternative/independent music such as Skunk Anansie, Garbage, Guano Apes, My Chemical Romance, Anouk, Eskobar, Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, Placebo, Disturbed, Linkin' Park, Tori Amos and Staind. Sundays are our traditional days for medieval influenced music, rock or electronically influenced styles as well as soft and romantic. Record Labels and editors of dark literature are welcome to send us promotional material! Direction: Cluj-Napoca is the capital of Transylvania and can easily be reached by train, bus or plane.Take a bus or tram to the center, station "Memorandumului" or "Mihai Viteazu". From the statue of "Matthias Rex" it is only a very short walk through some nice small streets of the historical center. The Café Umbra is located near the "Casa Matei Corvin".
