About Me
I am Richard Vero, the writer of the Gods of Romana Books. You can check them out on: www.thegodsofromana.jimdo.com I was brought up in the 60's, a time of peaceful rebellion. A time that changed society to something better. I did not conform then, nor do I now. I still rebel. I am not ready for the slippers in front of the fire yet! I still wear Doc Martins and New Rocks. I write,draw,make models and listen to music(I used to be in bands). I love everything Gothic and Medieval. Especially Architecture and jewellery. Also Victorian Clothing.I like the countryside. Rain,Storms,and Darkness. I have a disabled son(who is severely autistic) and whose arrival changed my life. He is my inspiration. I spend a lot of my spare time helping to raise awareness about autism.I have the ability to help those less able, so I do.I spend a lot of time helping autistic people and their families. I study autism a lot, because my son is autistic. Also because I was shocked at generally what little people know about autism, particularly those in authority. I still dream. I like a lot of current films as well and have a huge DVD collection. I enjoy travelling and going to new places when possible. I love the Wave Gothic Treffen, which is now the biggest Gothic Festival in the world. I enjoy eating all types of food. I drink red wine predominantly, but also like absinthe and beer!
