A brief history of The Deity:
Formed in 2001 as the brainchild of Industrial/Trance DJ DarkSide, tired of failed success after trying with various other bands and projects, The Deity was formed. The Deity made their way into the underground alternative scene playing numerous shows in support of the limited release self titled debut demo. Despite the numerous lineup changes and setbacks, The Deity are now in the studio working on their new full length album. The group's latest production, The Darkside Chronicles, joins DJ DarkSide's "decades of musical experience with pulsating and throbbing beats, cerebral hypnotic and alluring synth lines, aggressive, intense and emotional lyrics, everything to make your body move" ~ just a few words to describe the music of The Darkside Chronicles. With standout tracks like "DownSyndrome, More a Machine Than Man, This Your Dying Day and I Am The Diseased" this album will be sure to sweep you off your feet and on to the dance floor "With the buzz circulating about the albums release, The Deity can count on loads of future success"
Sounds Like
Our music can definitely be called dark and electronic. What comes out would be like taking a large number of hardrives filled with techno, trance, industrial, and metal albums's and putting them into a grinder.. What you hear is what comes out.
Influences
As far as influences go the list is too long and too vast to describe here. We take from many genre's, not only from music, but life as well because the experiences of one can change the other
