My name is Michael Skapy-Lee, but everyone calls me Skippy. I promise you'll never meet anyone like me again. I'm your stereotypical nerd, everything from Star Wars, to video games, to Magic: The Gathering. I love Psychology and Philosophy, I've spent the last 6 years of my life studying for sheer enjoyment. Most likely, I am smarter than you, this is not an ego trip it's a fact. I've come up with numerous sound theories, and I would be more than happy to share my knowledge. In my friends I am know as "Skippypedia." I'm 75% Irish and 25% Polish, I'm very proud of my Irish side, and one day I plan to move to Ireland. I love music, but my genres vary so much it's hard for me to pick a favorite, but my favorite band all time is Cold. I worked for 7 years as a sound technician, booking agent, and master of ceremonies at a local venue in Berwyn called The Nite Light Cafe. I am very much a realist, but also a bit of a pessimist, but if you ask me realism and pessimism go hand in hand. I have never done an illegal substance in my life, and I protest those who do. I get a lot of questions about my style, as I can say it varies from "scene", to "indie", to "metalhead", to "hipster," let me just say that style does not define a person, I think all of them have great aspects, fashion wise and culture wise, but to acknowledge myself as only one, would limit me too much. If you haven't been able to tell yet I type with proper grammar and punctuation, at least to the best of my knowledge, and I text the same as well. My family and I have never been extremely close, but I have made a small group of friends who has become my true family, more so than anyone else. I love helping people with their problems, especially their romantic problems, I feel if I can't help myself at least I can help others. I disagree with a lot of what society says, everything from style, to homosexuals, to the philosophy of "practice what you preach." If you haven't been able to tell yet I am a bit sarcastic with a cynical side. I'm always looking for good chats and entertainment, so feel free to talk to me. I am a little more friendly than I appear.
As a side note, I live my life by something Friedrich Nietzsche said, "To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffering" It pretty much means if we can make it through bad times, we come out stronger or better. So, it leaves me with two socially odd thinking patterns. One is to embrace hurt, pain, suffering, depression, because it makes us stronger, and more mature. Two, as this is the reason I am who I am today. When I was younger, I went through a bad break-up, and I spent six months in a very dark place, not eating, sleeping, socializing, and such like that, but when I came out I was no longer the little boy I was before. So I think this is a very important principal.
