Profile: ![]() in 2002 Fade Kainer formed STILL LIFE DECAY in NYC; layering harsh electronics, crushing beats, haunting atmospheres, heavy and melodic guitars under dispiriting vocals. Pairing with Edu Mussi (guitars 2002-06) they recorded and self-released CDs, The Drown EP (2002), followed by the full-length album, Storm & Stress (2004), distributed by Metropolis Records and Spent Decibel. The album features guest vocals by Burton C. Bell of FEAR FACTORY and includes remixes by TERRORFAKT and SIDE 3. Their third release, Parasitic (2006), echoes themes of isolation, misanthropy, addiction and apathy. It would be the last album released under the name Still Life Decay. Still life Decay has played with such bands as FEAR FACTORY, DIR EN GREY, D'ESPAIRSRAY, CRUX SHADOWS, BELLA MORTE, EGO LIKENESS and many others. In 2007 INSWARM was formed releasing the Severed EP showcasing songs that blend distorted electronics, sludgy guitars and atmospheric textures with often introspectively bleak lyrics. INSWARM is Fade Kainer (vocals, programming and electronics), Josh Lozano (guitar), Fred Pinault (bass), and Sean O'Connor (drums). "They've managed to package together slick, industrial drum machine patterns, eerie goth synth effects, and crunching metal riffs into a suped up sonic assault that could be pleasing to most anyone who appreciates hard music." - CRUSHER MAGAZINE, 2003 "Putting on a stadium-sized full-on onslaught for each performance, the band is driven to give patrons their money's worth." - SENTAMENTALIST MAGAZINE, 2005 "With everything from a unique sound, look and name, Still Life Decay are going to be impossible to ignore." - NOIZEFRONT.NET, 2005 "This is industrial straight out of the heart of darkness, highly recommended for people who still want their music to sound as evil as possible." - GRAVECONCERNEZINE.COM, 2005 INSWARM @ MYSPACE Upcoming Shows Jan 26th PUSSY CAT LOUNGE, NYC NY w/ SCOTT KELLY OF NEUROSIS, JARBOE OF THE SWANS, JAMES PLOTKIN, UNEARTHLY TRANCE, STEVE MOORE OF ZOMBI ALSO AN ART SHOW FOR SELDON HUNT 9PM SHARP.
