Incept date 09.09.09 - Kuroshio is activated Kuroshio Bio: After the live burial of Kuroshio Current on october 2008, the founder, aQi Kuroshio, planned to start a new project. It took almost one year to lick the wounds, to find the inspiration and motivation to write new music. Meanwhile, in seeking the lost drive and energy to produce new music, aQi started to play more dj gigs on goth/industrial parties and joined the Torture Torstai club as a resident dj. Also aQi was asked to join ErilaZ as a live synth keyboardist. aQi thanked for the invitation and found the real joy of playing keyboards live on tour. On 09.09.09 Kuroshio entered the net through myspace. First recordings were almost ready to be released. Actually the first track Hacked, was written during the existence of Kuroshio Current, but was never released outside the studio. Taken time to arrange and surgically sculpt this track aQi finally was satisfied in the result and the track took it's final form on august 2009. Then it was time to release the music for the masses. On 17.9.2009 the Hacked Digital EP [free, non profit, non commercial] was released packing one remix and two originals. Inferno was the second track on this release, the one carrying more the Kuroshio Current style and the track was played on Kuroshio Current live gigs, but never released. aQi re-edited the track into a new form, more into new Kuroshio style. After the release Hacked remix kit was done and a completely new track Biorobot was written. These tracks were then released on a CD including remixes of the Hacked by To Avoid, Proteus, Beati Mortui and ErilaZ. Kuroshio music could be described as a combination of dark psy and trance meets electro industrial, not forgetting the oldschool ebm and techno influences. Danceable pounding beats and sometimes classical film score style arrangements compined into one electronic motion. Lyrics are mostly inspired by the science fiction horror movies, cyberpunk and dreams of electronic sheep... haunted by the nightmares of post apocalyptic world. Kuroshio is writing new tracks for the forthcoming album. Get Hacked.
