I'm not very good at talking about myself, but I will give it a shot. I'm fairly tall (6'3"). For the most part I am a pretty nice guy. I'm respectful and good at socializing. I am mindful of others, and I try to see through the eyes of others before passing any judgment. You treat me with respect and kindness and it will be returned ten-fold. Simple enough, right?
However, I'm not nice enough to let people take advantage of that kindness. People who attempt that get thrown out of my life very quickly, and then I move on. Idiots are not worth stressing over. I am one to stand up for myself and what I believe in. I won't back down, and I won't alter my opinion on anything to conform with others. If you want an honest answer from me you will get it...giving you an answer just to make you feel better would fall under lying. I understand there are times when some things shouldn't be said, though, and I know when to be respectful and when someone *needs* to hear the truth.
I am a leader and it's as simple as that. I would make a poor follower. I take initiative on things rather than waiting around for things to happen, if I am able to do so. I make decisions on my own and I work very well independently. With that said, I am just as good at working with others. Put me in a room with another "alpha" personality and my competitive nature will show, but I would still rather work with people to solve something rather than butt heads.
Seriously, it's not hard to get along with me at all. I am very laid back and can get along with anyone who has some intelligence and common sense. As long as you're true to yourself, I will see that. I enjoy making friends and am willing to talk to anyone.
Interests
I like knowing how things work. If I can take something apart just to figure out what makes it work, I will. I like learning - there is never a point in your life where you should stop learning. I have a fairly curious mind in that sense. I'm a big history fan, too. Name anything historically relevant and I can probably have a discussion on it with you.
Art and music are two big interests of mine. I always listen to music, and I attempt to create it on my bass guitar. Honestly, I don't know what I would do without music. See my band list and you will see what I mean. As for art, I like discovering it. When it comes to creating it, I've pretty much burned out on that.
There are a lot of other things I'm too lazy to list. Just have a conversation with me! I like meaningful conversations. I am the epitome of being open-minded.
Metal
Put simply, metal is a part of me. I was raised on it. I remember listening to Megadeth and Metallica before I could even write. I owned a Gwar CD before I even got into middle school.
It's something about that feeling you get when you're at a show/concert, and you know everyone else is there for the same reason as you. When you get in the pit to let out all that aggression, yet still watch out for each other. I don't think any other kind of music can capture my emotion and personality as well as metal can.
My Job
I work full-time as a machinist. If you don't know what that is then just ask. (or look it up on Wikipedia!) :P I'm also a mechanic of sorts, but with machinery rather than cars.
