 I guess a good start to my profile would be the explanation of my screen name, Grand Guignol. I took the description from merriam-webster.com "Pronunciation: ?gr�n-gen-'yo?l -'yol" Etymology: Le Grand Guignol, small theater in Montmartre, Paris, that specialized in such performances �dramatic entertainment featuring the gruesome or horrible.� That alone will tell you a lot about my personality. I love the macabre, grotesque, and bizarre. I strayed from the yellow brick road a long time ago and now I�m lost in a fantastic world of surrealism. That�s just a glorified way of saying I live mostly in my head.
One of the first things people realize about me is that I�m a huge movie geek. I own over 1,000 movies and my collection is always growing. I�ve spent a lot of time searching for the most obscure movies and they�re like my children. Is that ridiculous? Odd? Crazy? Abso-freakin-lutely! What I consider to be normal others find weird, what others consider normal I find boring.
What else? I�ve been reading tarot cards for about ten years. My Mom started to take a class on tarot reading and decided she didn�t like it so she asked if I wanted the cards. I said sure what the hell? I haven�t stopped reading them since.
I also love Photoshop and you will see a lot of my pictures manipulated when you visit my gallery. Don't complain to me about "edited" pictures. It's something I like to do and it gives me experience in it. If you still have a problem after reading this then follow the exit signs and immediately leave my profile. Thanks!

I like people and ideas that challenge and break political and social boundaries. A perfect example of someone who broke every rule was the Marquis de Sade. If you haven't read him then I really suggest that you do.. and if you're still in school you should read one of his books, (120 Days of Sodom is good) write a report, and turn it in for English. See how your teacher likes them apples.
I love sketching, writing, reading, and of course MOVIES.
I also like to think about what's beyond our three dimensional world. Space, black holes, time warps, anything you can think of that we know very little about interests me. I'd also like to know what would happen if we used the majority of our brain instead of a sliver of it. What doors would that open?
I don't watch a lot of television because it's boring and doesn't enhance my mind even a little, but there are some shows I am in love with. I love Lexx, Dexter, VR.5, Forever Knight, Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Masters of Horror, True Blood, and Are You Afraid of the Dark?
I really like it when people click on my banner at the bottom of my profile. Okay that was a cheap plug but if I don't say it no one will ever do it.
I'm a video game junkie. Through my slaughter of zombies I save humanity.. really I just like gore.
I'm not a fan of people who don't think for themselves. I understand why people feel the need to conform.. society can be harsh. People are afraid of the unfamiliar and anything that falls into that category is ridiculed.
I hate it when people judge others based on their political preference. If you live in America like I do then you should know that WE HAVE A RIGHT TO OUR OPINION. Okay good now that I got that out of the way I'll move on.
I don't like TV very much. I especially don't like the following types of TV; "reality", soap operas of any kind, anything on Lifetime or Lifetime Movie Network, and game shows.
For some reason I can't stand it when people do weird things with food. I can watch the most graphic torture scenes in movies, I'm talking about scenes that would disgust the most jaded viewer, BUT if someone does something weird with food then I get grossed the hell out. A good example of this would be milk spilling down someone's chin.. oh yuck.
I really hate it when people tell me smoking kills. Come on people do you think you're the first person to say that? There's a warning on the freaking box and I know it's bad but it's none of your business. As long as I'm not blowing smoke in your face you shouldn't care.
I don't care if you're emo, a scene kid, gothic, preppy, whatever damned label you want to put on yourself if you're an asshole I won't want to talk to you. NOT because of your label but because you are an asshole.
Oh and I don't like green foods.
I love many types of music such as; classical, opera, old punk, 80's, New Wave, 90's alternative, metal, jazz, blues, and ragtime. I'm not going to list my favorite artists because I'd be here for days. If you'd like to know if I like a particular band, singer, or composer then ask me.

So lets get back to the movies. My favorite genre is horror. I love everything about horror but my favorite sub-genre of horror is Splatterpunk. Clive Barker is a leader in that sub-genre. When I'm not watching horror I'm watching sci-fi, fantasy, independent, foreign, surreal, erotic trillers, and comedy. I DO NOT like romantic comedies and probably never will.
Currently my all time favorite movie is "The Company of Wolves". I just thought that deserved a special word.. if you haven't seen it then go and rent it right this second.
