Lexi/Fifteen/Straight
-I'm from Iowa. I love it here, but I hate it at the same time. I love the people, everyone here is kind, and for the most part, intelligent. I hate the geographical location.

Digging a little Deeper; I like reading, and watching movies. I especially like books like The Perks of Being A Wallflower, Looking for Alaska, and To Kill a Mockingbird; and movies like Remember Me, Gran Torino, and August Rush. I like quoting books and movies as well, things that stick with me from the moment I hear them. I put my favorite quotes in my writing notebook. I enjoy writing as well, usually songs. It's a great way to get it all out there without straight out saying what you're thinking. I like leaving a little to infer.
I enjoy performing, the spotlight being on me and the confidence boost I get everytime I perform. I like acting, singing, film club, and dancing. I like the lightness of ballet, the rhythms of hip hop, and the way jazz runs through your veins. Though I could never afford lessons, I generally use youtube videos, and I do a bit of choreographing. I've taken two in-school acting classes and three online. I never really use anything I learned in them, I just do whatever feels natural, and people say I'm good. I participate on the speech team, and I do school plays whenever I'm not in sports. I'm involved in our school's acapella choir as well. Between band, sports (cheerleading, basketball, tennis, and softball), chior, and speech, I manage to keep myself pretty busy. And I love it.
Dreams: Dreams keep us going. They push us to do our best. Mine? I have a few. To simply help others, to make a difference. To finally be happy with the way I look, and to be at peace with it. To have a successful life, and to have people miss me when I'm gone. To fall in love, and have them love me back.
Seeing the world: I want to travel the world. There are so many other people, all over, doing things just like you are. Do you ever wonder what all the other people on the planet are doing? Or what it's like where they live? I do. I want to see everything. We're on a beautiful planet, we might as well enjoy it. To list a few of the places I want to visit; India, London, Paris, Andorra, Germany, Egypt, South Africa, Brazil, and Ecuador.
Doing things for others: Do you ever really think about what things are like for other people? That girl that sits alone at lunch. That boy that's littler than all the others, the one always getting picked on. The people in Haiti faced with absolute terror, losing what little they had. Women and children forced to walk miles upon miles to collect a single bucket of water, the water that isn't even clean and that holds fatal diseases. Those people and millions of others. I want to help them, because if I was in their shoes, I'd want help, too.

Slightly chilly days sitting on my porch or down by the Mississippi, watching the river or creek flowing, drinking tea with someone I love. When the leaves are changing colors, but are still on the trees. The first day after a long winter where it feels like spring, and you just want to spin around in circles and then fall to the ground, listening to the birds, and watching the clouds roll by. Laying on the hood of a car watching the stars at night. Those relationships where you don't have to say anything and you can just sit there comfortably, together, because just being together is enough.
