Profile:

My Body Is A Witch
I Am Burning It

This page was written and constructed in November 2011.
Trust that even hours after writing this entire page,
there will be changes to my life that will affect the information here.
I am a person.
A living, breathing, changing person.
For every second, I'm gaining different cells.
For every day, I'm learning something new about myself.
For every year, I'm overcoming something different and basking in a changing sort of sunlight.

Upfront, I would also like to thank Mahl for my premium. I am extremely appreciative, passed words. <3

Bring On The Poison

Hello, hello.

I'm Aimee.

I don't think it will come as a shock to any pair of eyes
that may wander through the written statements of my profile that
I consider myself a pretty complex individual.
Contrary to popular belief though,
I do think that the majority of us are very complicated individuals,
with layers (yeah, like onions) that we may not
recognize, acknowledge or know..
In a much less verbose way of putting it:
There's a lot to know about me and
you're not going to understand every little
contradiction, expression or belief in my head
.
I'll try and work it out for you to the best of my abilities.

I am a writer,
which is not the most unique title to find on Vampirefreaks.
I've been writing since I could put pencil to paper,
and I've been writing more quickly ever since I could type at the rate that I can now.
I usually just write for me
(whether it's haikus, poems, prose or novels..
I'm usually the only one who gets to read them anymore).
It's not a matter of being self-conscious..
I've just learned that the less you write for other people,
the more freedom you feel to express yourself.

I am an actress.
I don't get much into acting anymore..
I have been represented by a talent agency and got a few small positions from that,
but nothing that anyone would ever recognize me from.
I'm not a fan of camera acting..
It takes away the magic in my experience.
I love being on stage.

I am enthusiastic.
Most people, in the not-so-virtual world recognize me as
a person who is usually always smiling,
willing to make people laugh,
and trying to keep every attitude in the room as positive as possible.
Whether or not I am always so positive in my own thinking is irrelevant;
I am a firm believer that
one's sour mood should never pollute the possible smiles of other people.

This section, up until recently,
was reserved for the boy I was living with and felt a strong attachment to.
He recently left me for somebody else in a pretty unpleasant fashion.
For this reason, I’ll tell you straight up:
I may be single,
but I am most definitely not interested in a relationship (casual or serious) in any form.

I do not have a large group of friends.
I am pretty outwardly comfortable in most social situations these days,
although I do consider myself somewhat of an introvert.
I am pretty good at making acquaintances,
probably due to my abundance of enthusiasm,
but I would be lying if I said there were a great number of people I really care about.
The people I consider my family and friends are the most important people in my life,
including a few choice friends on here
.
I am a very compassionate person
(and here is where some of the seemingly contradicting ideas start to come into play),
I have been told by professionals that I invest too much in people
and expect too much in return.
I don't think this is something about me that will ever change.
I was raised to be compassionate,
I have grown to shy away from close bonds with most people.

I am increasingly more stable.
I don't really believe that giving a label to mental instabilities is very helpful in anyway
(because it starts to make you feel less like a person
and more like a disease, needing to be cured),
but I have been dealing with chemical problems
as well as anxiety disorders for what has become most of my life,
although I have recently been put on medication.
It is helping immensely, much to my surprise.

Up until recently, I never really drank or did any drugs.
Recently, I’ve delved a little into substance-use, though
I do not enjoy alcohol.
I don’t like to drink and so I don’t do it,
although I am surrounded by it on a pretty regular basis.
My stance on other drug-use is that
you should know the right reasons and be an informed user
;
drugs will never eliminate the problems in your life,
but there’s little harm in a little experimentation as long as
you’re being safe and smart about it.
And trust me,
In my experiences, it is possible.

I am very easy-going.
It takes a lot to get me into an uproar about anything.
I believe that the amount of absolutes in the world are very small in number.
Everything is a shade of grey, there are two sides to every story,
etc, etc.
As long as someone is not hurting another person,
I don't think it's any of my business to get involved
in what other people might consider a "problem".
If you want help, advice, I'll give you that..
Otherwise, it's your life, your body, your mind and it's therefore
your choice to do what you want, will or think is right.

I have some obsessive qualities.
For example,
I have spots in every place that I visit on a regular basis (parking spots, sitting spots, etc.).
Imagine Sheldon Cooper, but tone it down a couple of inches and that's a pretty accurate description.
(I won't freak out about someone else being in my spot,
but I won't sit down until my spot is vacant again..)
I like to do things in certain ways
and it makes me, like most of you, a creature of habit and pattern.
Although all my literature about serial killers who stalk their victims
and paranoia about Big Brother advise against this kind of behaviour,
I tend to do it anyway.
(You may also notice that I have a passionate relationship with
multiples of five..)

She Loves You.

To list a few extra things
I am very passionate about:

Writing, listening to music, concept albums, soft rain, loud bass, driving with a boomin’ sound system, my iPod, collecting band merchandise, simple and repetitive math, Chuck Palahniuk, serial killer literature, lyrics, concerts, slipping into a believable movie-based world, piercings (I have snake bites, left nostril, septum, surface sternum, right nostril, bridge. My ears are gauged to a size 0 and 00), sitting in darkness with only my music in the space around me, poetry, driving.. etc.

I collect CDs.
My collection is not the most enormous you will ever find..
In fact, I haven't even reached the 200 mark yet, (although I am close!)
You can see a list of my entire CD collection here!
My absolute favourite CDs that I own are:

I absolutely love to read and
am open to suggestions for another book to read.
Feel free to message me with any of your favourites!

My favourite movies are
Beauty and the Beast, Fight Club, Donnie Darko, V for Vendetta and Watchmen.
I’ve got myself a little collection of movies which is constantly growing as my need for more CDs begins to decline.
You can find a complete list of my movie collection here!.

Dislikes:
She Loves You Not.

I don’t consider myself someone who is filled with a lot of hate.
On a regular basis,
my displeasure or negativity is either aimed directly at myself
or at my fellow drivers who are at the shit-end of my road rage.
Although I feel the range of human feelings,
I don’t consider hate as a really enormous part of my life
.
It was when I was a very angsty teenage, but much has changed since then.

After finally discovering how close someone can be to a group of friends,
I would have to say that
the people who hurt my friends and family (the people closest to me),
cause me great distress and could definitely cause me to hate on someone
.
Don’t get too excited though, trolls:
Those friends and family members are not on this site,
and the beautiful people I’m close to on this website,
have the support of my Premium Power Bombs.

People who purposely go out of their way to offend me.
These people aren’t worth my time and never really get a visible reaction for me,
but really.
What is the point of being so negative?
Why not try and add a little more smiles to the world?

Ignorant opinions.
We live in the wonderful world of the internet..
Why bother forming a strong opinion,
(strong enough to preach or constantly comment on)
without knowing the multiple sides of the story?
This world is very short of total absolutes,
so why not keep yourself informed about some of the shades of grey out there?

Vocal discrimination.
It is one thing to have an opinion about a group of people
and another thing to dedicate your life
or your words to trying to make someone unhappy.
I just can’t understand what the point is in trying to
make someone as miserable as you are,
based on a trait they have no control over.

Revenge.
It’s petty and rarely ever worth it.
Most of the time, you end up incriminating yourself,
being ashamed of yourself
or just acting completely irrationally for short-term results.
Your boyfriend broke up with you? Too bad.
He obviously wasn’t worth your time.
That girl made a rude comment about you behind your back?
She’s not worth your time.
Note the pattern?
People are trying to waste your time and bring you down,
don’t let them.

Having sticky or dirty hands.
I have very long fingernails and having to deal with the after-math
of weird sauces or melted chocolate is extremely unpleasant for me.
