Good greetings, my name is Jake Brew. I am pleased that you are reading this and hope that you may stay interested. To begin with, I am 19 years of age but, somehow, I feel as if I grow older in spirit far faster than my age. I value many things and hold these close to my heart such as the kindness of people. Although fate deals us all a cruel hand at times, I've tried to help those who seek my hand or don't. A phoenix is the symbol I live by, self-sacrificing and yet, immortal in a sense that I hope people can remember the kindness given to them not for my own personal gain but to make theirs that much sweeter. This lifestyle choice I have chosen is not an easy one for when is doing something that is not commonplace ever easy? I have been beaten and hurt by the wills of these people and many a time I was told to think of myself however, I learned through my own experience that to live selflessly and continue a kind existence is truly the most fulfilling to me both in mind and spirit. To be a friend, to create a foundation people can grow from is what pleases me the most. I want to help nurture people to find what's within themselves that makes them truly special and unique but it's also true to say I'm no saint. To say that I can let these issues bear down on me leaving me unaffected is to deny human nature, everyone gets down at times and sometimes I feel it necessary to isolate myself. For as much as I love people and want to see them well, sometimes the pressure of it or the ingratitude becomes too much and I relent for awhile but my vision stays clear regardless. Aside from unnecessarily long speeches of visions in life, I enjoy discussing politics, writing poetry, taking walks in nature, and simply meeting new people. Sometimes I find it hard to balance the side of me that is this that you read and the more down to earth teenage side to me. I've often been described as too serious and not very humourous but regardless, I like taking life serious; serious visions beget serious accomplishments I suppose. I have come a long way with my spiritual beliefs as well and whether you choose to agree with them is perfectly up to you. I do not try to sway people towards my vision in life as that path is their own to discover but I do like to open one's eyes to something that could be out there for them. In my present state, I consider myself to be a very open-minded individual respecting Hindu, Buddhist, Shinto, Tao, and Christian beliefs. Although currently I am predominantly Christian, I will never and repeat never expect anyone to conform to anything, I will not tell you you are wrong or state what I think you should do lest you ask me. As my pastor says: To try and do drive-by Christianity is foolish, to have people come in open-minded, you must first build a relationship with them. I try to do that to put it simply. I am currently in high school for my last few months and I do not enjoy it in the least. I don't know why but I feel as if there is a spiritual language barrier where the miscommunication goes beyond words. However, I do plan on attending Buffalo State College in pursuit of a doctorate in Psychology. Currently however, I work at McDonalds and although it's not the most boastful job, it's a place that taught me how to be independent, save money, and be responsible (plus I love saving customers money!) My true friends are few and far between but I cherish them dearly, Avecynae, thank you for all you are. For all others who read this whether familiar or unknown, I thank you for reading this I know it's wordy but it means a lot. Perhaps the most controversial thing I believe in, psychic vampyrism is something I believe dearly in. For those who know the term, I need not explain and for those who don't, please ask if you are curious but the incessant harassment from my peers had let me to be fairly secret except in just admitting what I am which I feel no shame for. I wish to lead people not in pursuit of power or a selfish vision but to create communities and a safe haven for the lost. for once you become a leader and have followers, it no longer becomes all about you. My taste in music is very broad in terms of the metal genres, I'll not get into them as they are just listed below but to put it simply, I love emotion, dedication, passion, and good lyrics in my music. All bands listed are those that have earned my respect. Yet another thing I've faced in life are continuous medical problems. I was born approximately three months premature, I was due in October but came in July. i almost died and was lucky to be alive, knowing that my life was a blessing, I decided that I wanted to give and make others happier, life is always to be cherished. In 2006, I was diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome which stunted my growth in puberty for close to one year and led me to gain excessive weight. My highest peak of this was me at 4'10" and 168lbs. The Cushing's was a benign tumor and has long since been removed but was told I'd always be a patient of it. Aside from that, I deal with mild cerebral palsy and reduced motor skills. This made me grow as a person and led me to never ask "Why, God?" in my life, for without it, I would have never grown the way I have. I do not claim to know all, I still have much to learn. I want to learn from everywhere and become even wiser and try my hardest to swallow my pride. I wish to know you, and thank you for reading this, truly it means a lot.
