Latest Journal Entry: Cheers August 16, 2011, 08:00pm
Profile: Scene three: (Even deeper into the, obviously, by-spaceman-forbidden forest, The Lamb With The Axe is approached by Flock-Of-Sparrows, whose dress would make no one look twice at him, was he a dancer in Rio. Lots of feather. Really a lot.) Flock-Of-Sparrows: Kungkto? (With a grim look on its face, The Lamb With The Axe passes Flock-Of-Sparrows. Flock-Of-Sparrows shrugs and continues on his way. Suddenly, A Police Squad rushes past The Lamb With The Axe and The Sheep, approaching Flock-Of-Sparrows.) A Police Squad (it speaks as one): Halt! (Flock-Of-Sparrows shrugs and halts. A Police Squad produces a huge dish of Noodles and presents it to Flock-Of-Sparrows. Uninterested, The Lamb With The Axe continues on its way. The Sheep lingers and watches.) Flock-Of-Sparrows: Wihgott? A Police Squad: Ha! Wrong Again! You Are Coming With Us! (Flock-Of-Sparrows sighs as A Police Squad handcuffs him and takes him off stage. The Sheep shrugs as well and hastens after The Lamb With The Axe. The stage lies quiet.) (William Blake appears on stage. That means, he does not enter from left or right, but he appears in the center of it. No smoke, no lightning, he just appears, pretty quietly.) William Blake: Exibant Omnes. Thank you. Likes: Scene two: The Lamb With The Axe: Are you following me, dearest Sir? (The Sheep bleats shyly) The Lamb With The Axe: I must object, friend, for my path is of beauty, and not fit for such... (The Lamb With The Axe is interrupted by the sounds of the Spaceman, roping down the closest tree (an old oak, in case the audience turns towards the director, wondering what kind of tree the spaceman is rappeling down from). Spaceman: I COMMAND THEE TO REMAIN HERE AND NOT VENTURE ANY FURTHER. THESE WOODS ARE... The Lamb With The Axe (interrupting the Spaceman): Sir, I am a Lamb taking action. (Without hesitation or any further words, the Lamb With The Axe makes use of its axe and cuts down the very suprised spaceman. The audience will have to imagine the spaceman being suprised, since his face is covered by his helmet. His last cry resounds in the quiet forest.) (The stage remains calm for a second, before the horizon (partly visible through the trees) turns red.) (The stage remains quiet for another second. Then, the Lamb With The Axe is hit by a stone coming from the topmost regions of the trees. It hastens on, followed by The Sheep.) Dislikes: When the curtain rises, the audience is greeted by the first scene already in action. Therefore, it is important to start playing when the hall is already quiet. The curtain is to rise as soon as the Lamb With The Axe speaks its line "Absolutely Idle". Scene one: (The Lamb With The Axe enters the stage carrying the axe with both hands. The sheep is already on the other side of the stage.) Lamb With The Axe: What A Jolly Good Evening! (The Lamb sets the axe down) The Lamb With The Axe: Yet... something does not seem right. To describe this place, I would use words closely resembling the couple that is "Absolutely Idle", but somehow, I feel unable to... (The Sheep bleats) The Lamb With The Axe: I dare to object, Sir. While it may be appropriate to speak out against the lower class in france (where we certainly are not present in the present time), I ask you to revoke your statement imidiatly, so that it will not dimnish the splendour of our country, with its pleasent pastures and green hills. The Sheep: I apolegize Sir, and I dimnish my revocation so that it shall not state my splendour. The Lamb With The Axe: Wonderful. (The Lamb With The Axe takes up its axe, rests it on its shoulders and makes haste for the nearby forest. The Sheep follows it in utter silence.) Favorite Music: Dramatis Personae: The Lamb With The Axe: A lamb, half a year old, wielding a fearsome axe. The Sheep: A Sheep. Nothing special here. A Spaceman: One of the many out there. Old Man Of The Sea: A Forrest-dweller, angry at his parents. Likes to throw stones and quiescent places. Flock-Of-Sparrows: A native inhabitant of the country the action takes place in. Unfamiliar with noodles, named by ignorant westeners. A Police squad: No one knows what they're about. William Blake: The Man. Copyright Tobias Reußwig, 2008 Homepage: http://www.fixofabsurdity.de/en
