We're a consumer demanded economy, an economy run on markets. You have the consumer side, production side, and management side. Now, what's the point of starting up a business? Two things. a) To provide a good or service to consumers who have a want or need. and b) TO MAKE MONEY Wanting to make money is greedy. Most people agree that money is greed. So is it fair to say that greedy people are the downfall of the economy? That only the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer? I don't think so. Without the invisible hand, this country couldn't run and operate on markets. Selfish people are what you have to watch out for. They are the ones who are thinking of themselves and no one else. There is a difference between greed and selfishness. Most people can't tell the difference,
